Call for Abstracts
The RemEAST 2015 Technical Conference on Challenges of Working in the North will be held November 9th and 10th, 2015 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Conference is proudly organized by ESANS. RemEAST 2015 will be a platform to share information, encourage education, enhance knowledge, and increase awareness of the regulatory environment and development practices in the north. As well, the conference will showcase innovative solutions to the challenges of working in Canada’s North.
ESANS invites you to submit technical abstracts focusing on Challenges of Working in the North including remediation of contaminated soil, groundwater, surface water, and air. Abstracts are encouraged in, but not limited to, the following areas:
Government, academia, and private industry representation continues to grow and includes, but is not limited to, DEFENCE CONSTRUCTION CANADA, DEPARTMENT OF NATIONAL DEFENCE, TRANSPORT CANADA, CAPE BRETON UNIVERSITY, and the CENTRE FOR WATER RESOURCE STUDIES AT DALHOUSIE UNIVERSITY.
In addition, REPRESENTATIVES are being drawn from funding agencies such as GENOME ATLANTIC, IRAP, NSBI, NUNAVUT DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION and clients such as PUBLIC WORKS AND GOVERNMENT SERVICES CANADA, NORTHERN PROJECTS MANAGEMENT OFFICE, and the CANADIAN NORTHERN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AGENCY.
Abstracts are due by September 4th, 2015. Abstracts (maximum 1 page) must be submitted via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Complete contact information - postal address, office phone number, and email address - must be included in your submission for each author listed on the abstract.
